Luis Novella

Founder

Luis is an entrepreneur with a background in energy and professional services. He was a senior executive at AREVA during its peak, running a division that spanned nuclear reactor construction and services, transmission and distribution, mining, offshore wind and solar. He led the relationship with the leadership of Unistar, part of Constellation Energy, to develop a digital twin for nuclear plants.

As an Accenture partner he acted as an energy specialist across relationships with Endesa, Rosatom, ESKOM, Gas Natural and Fusion for Energy, among others. He has held partner-level leadership positions at KPMG, Accenture and The Hackett Group, and has hands-on operating experience across the United States, Europe and Latin America.

Adam Smith

Development and project finance

Adam holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and was previously a senior investment specialist at Schroders covering technology and energy markets. He moved into renewables in 2007, working with several of the leading international turnkey solar developers.

He has extensive experience across the design, development, construction and project finance of solar projects, with established relationships among tier-one manufacturers including Sharp, SunPower and Canadian Solar, and a deep network of bankable international EPC contractors. Over the past six years he has worked with groups deploying bankable power purchase agreements to solar developers and institutional funds across the United States, Latin America and Europe, with more than $1bn of investment-grade PPAs placed to date.

Peter Rowan

Sustainability and programmes

Peter has more than 25 years in the sustainability sector, covering renewable energy infrastructure development and policy, agile programme management, strategy, partner funding, climate risk and resilience, agroforestry, land-use change, natural capital, and international development policy.

In research he has managed programmes with assets of up to €730m. He has since advised the European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus, developing sustainability fund models and approaches for the European Commission across the wider global area and European neighbourhood, linked to green finance and natural capital. He was a member of the stakeholder group of the IFC’s Fast-Infra platform, and has appeared several times on France 24 as an expert on climate change.
